Since the early 1970's, Follow Your Heart ® has been using eggless mayonnaise in the dressings, salads and sandwiches which we prepare in our Canoga Park, California, Market and Cafe. Our desire for an egg-free mayonnaise with real mayonnaise taste led us to create our own product, Vegenaise, which we have been using, and serving to our customers, for over thirty years.

As our customers moved on to other parts of the world, we began to receive letters from people who "missed" their Vegenaise, and could we "please send a few bottles..." to tide them over until they were in the area again. Finally, in response to ever increasing demand, we made the decision to set up our own plant, which we named Earth Island, as a facility in which we could produce Vegenaise ® and some of our other products on a larger scale.

Today, Vegenaise ® (aka Veganaise ™) is available in stores everywhere (well almost everywhere). Now, everyone can enjoy real mayonnaise taste without the unwanted eggs, dairy products, over-refined sweeteners, fillers, gums, colorings, preservatives, you name it!

One more big difference. We created Vegenaise ® as a fresh product, available in the refrigerated case. Our own customers have virtually abandoned the dry mayonnaise shelf, choosing Vegenaise ® over all other brands combined by a ratio of better than ten to one.
